Job Responsibilities

The ADAP provides access to medications for the treatment of HIV/AIDS to eligible Georgia residents. The HICP provides assistance with health insurance premiums and medication co-pay costs. The work of this position ensures the timely review and processing of ADAP/HICP applications, re-enrollment and recertification. This position also provides eligibility policy and procedure technical assistance to Ryan White Part B ADAP/HICP enrollment sites for the entire State of Georgia. The ADAP/HICP Analyst performs a wide range of administrative duties assigned by the program managers, which includes resolving eligibility issues, documenting correspondence with enrollment sites and program participants. Provides information and answers questions from Georgia constituents regarding ADAP/HICP.


  • Ensures the timely monitoring, review and processing of new ADAP/HICP applications, re-enroll applications and recertifications through the quick look process which is submitted electronically by case managers and coordinators located at ADAP/HICP enrollment sites throughout the state of Georgia.
  • Assists in the daily operations of the ADAP/HICP by completing data entry in the program’s database.
  • Enroll or update ADAP/HICP client information in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) system upon approval of the application to ensure that program participants can receive medications.
  • Communicates daily with ADAP/HICP enrollment sites and providers statewide via email, telephone and/or fax.
  • Participates in team and department meetings and assists with ADAP/HICP trainings as needed.
  • Monitor, review and maintain third party administrator reports received in order to monitor continued eligibility of program participants
  • Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma/GED and five (5) years of job-related experience in social services or related field;
OR
Two (2) years of experience at the lower level Soc Svc Claims/Benefits Tech 2 (SST031) or equivalent position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years directly job-related experience.
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS Ryan White Programs at state and/or local level.
  • Experience providing program specific technical assistance.
  • Knowledge of infectious diseases, specifically HIV/AIDS.
  • Experience and knowledge auditing program documents.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
