The Role
We are seeking a Adjunct Faculty in Law to deliver high-quality teaching on undergraduate modules within the Faculty of Business and Law. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and leadership of modules across a range of law subjects, ensuring that teaching is innovative, research-informed, and aligned with UK higher education standards.
The role will include teaching, assessment, and related academic administration, as well as contributing to the continuous enhancement of the curriculum and student learning experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Teach and assess undergraduate modules in Law, such as Criminal Law, Contract Law, Professional Skills, and Police Powers.

Lead and enhance existing modules, ensuring they remain student-focused, innovative, and informed by current research and professional practice.

Develop and deliver engaging teaching sessions that apply creative and practical approaches to learning.

Contribute to module and programme development, ensuring alignment with DMU’s academic standards and quality processes.

Collaborate effectively with academic colleagues across the Faculty.

Undertake administrative duties associated with teaching, assessment, and student support.

Engage in external networking with professional bodies, schools, and the broader academic community.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
-
A good undergraduate degree in Law from a UK university, or a non-Law degree plus CPE/GDL (required).

A postgraduate degree in Law or a related subject, and/or qualification as a barrister or solicitor (desirable).

Attested qualifications with UAE Ministry of Education equivalency (mandatory requirement).
Experience
-
Previous experience teaching and assessing in higher education (required).

Expertise in areas such as Criminal Law, Contract Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, or Police Powers (desirable).

Experience managing module materials and resources (desirable).
Knowledge & Skills
