Adjunct Instructor-Diederich College of Communication - Fall and/or Spring Semesters 2026-2027

Part-time positions teaching one or more course sections of courses in any
of the following areas: advertising, communication studies, corporate communication, sports communication,digital media, journalism, public relations, media studies, dance, film, music, performing arts
and/or theatre arts.

Under the direction of the Department Chair:

• Prepare and follow syllabus and teaching plans.
• Instruct, manage and supervise individuals and groups in a professional manner.
• Prepare and administer quizzes and exams.
• Evaluate and grade student work.
• Maintain a minimum of three office hours per course per week.
• Be prepared to covert class to online if necessary.
• Develop and prepare syllabi, lectures, presentations and handouts for teaching courses.
• Stimulate and encourage class discussions.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Create, administer and grade quizzes.
• Be available/responsive to students.
• Remain current with trends and development in his/her are of expertise.

Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

Undergraduate degree in communication or related field and experience teaching at the college level.
