Admin Bookkeeper

Job Title: Admin Bookkeeper
Location: 100% Remote
Type: Part-Time / Contractor
Hours: 5–10 hours/week with room to grow and opportunities to expand role

Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
Reports To: Account Manager

The Role:

We’re on the lookout for a curious, organized, reliable and proactive Admin Bookkeeper to join our remote team! You’ll be helping improve systems on the backend, managing books for multiple awesome small business clients, getting exposure to a variety of industries, and learning the ropes from a supportive crew that’s here to help you grow. It’s very important that we find someone who is detail oriented so when you apply for the role, please make sure to include the secret subject line “I’m very reliable”

This is a great fit for someone who’s early in their bookkeeping journey and eager to build confidence in a hands-on, real-world setting — without being thrown into the deep end alone.

What You’ll Be Doing:

● Keeping track of day-to-day transactions using QuickBooks Online (and sometimes QuickBooks Desktop)

● Reconciling bank and credit card accounts (you love it when things balance)

● Aiding with A/P and A/R — because every penny counts

● Generating financial reports like P&Ls and balance sheets for review

● Organizing and maintaining financial data across multiple clients

● Month-end and year-end close tasks including 1099 tracking and distribution

● Assisting with the development and improvement of internal processes to help operations run more efficiently.

● Collaborating on rolling out new systems and technology that make everyone’s life easier

● Keeping company files, documents, and information organized and accessible—think digital zen with a side of efficiency.

What You Bring:

● An associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience

● At least 2 years of bookkeeping or related accounting and admin work

● QuickBooks Online PROFICIENCY — you know your way around it!

● A sharp eye for detail and solid time management chops

● GREAT communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude

● A desire to learn, grow, and work closely with experienced bookkeepers

Bonus Points For:

● Experience juggling books for clients in different industries

● Comfort with cloud tools (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)

● Microsoft Excel skills (formulas are your friends)

● QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
