Job Description: Admin Officer

Job Title: Admin Officer

Location: Harsha Institute of Management Studies

Position type: Full time

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Oversight
  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the college.
  • Oversee student admissions, registrations, and records.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure compliance with academic and institutional policies.
  • Maintain databases and records related to students, staff, and faculty.
  • Staff and Faculty Coordination
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding processes for faculty and administrative staff.
  • Schedule and organize faculty meetings and events.
  • Act as a liaison between departments and senior management.
  • Student Services
  • Address and resolve student inquiries and grievances.
  • Support extracurricular activities, including clubs and events.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding academic schedules, exams, and deadlines.
  • Financial and Budget Management
  • Assist in budget planning and allocation.
  • Monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports.
  • Handle fee collection and ensure proper documentation.
  • Compliance and Accreditation
  • Ensure adherence to government and accrediting body regulations.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Event Planning and Coordination
  • Organize college events such as seminars, workshops, graduations, and other ceremonies.
  • Manage logistics, including venue arrangements and guest coordination.
  • IT and Infrastructure Management
  • Ensure the availability and functionality of IT systems and tools.
  • Oversee maintenance of the college premises and facilities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in office management software (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Personal Attributes
  • Team player with leadership qualities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
