Admin Support / Scale Clerk

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Administrative Support / Scale Clerk, based out of our Newberry, FL plant near Gainesville, FL. The Administrative Support / Scale Clerk plays a key role in daily plant operations by supporting scale house activities, assisting with office functions, and helping coordinate communication across teams, customers, and vendors to keep the operation running smoothly.

Day to Day

  • Support daily plant operations through a combination of administrative and scale house functions
  • Obtain, sort, and organize sales tickets for materials and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate customer, job, and load information
  • Enter, track, and maintain purchase orders and related documentation
  • Answer phones, assist customers and drivers, and route inquiries appropriately
  • Support dispatch and logistics by relaying information and helping coordinate truck flow as needed
  • Back up scale house operations, including processing tickets and assisting with inbound and outbound trucks
  • Maintain organized files and operational records to support reporting and compliance needs
  • Order, stock, and manage office supplies
  • Provide day to day administrative support to the Plant Manager and plant leadership
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, and drivers to support smooth operations
  • Assist with daily office and operational needs as they arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You

  • 1+ years of administrative, operations, or office support experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and solutions-oriented approach
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced, production environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to work in an office within an active plant environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
