Overview:
The Administrative Assistant for Congregational Life provides weekday hospitality, administrative support and coordination, and equips staff and volunteers in ministry through communication and coordination. They also serve as the Membership Secretary for the church.
Responsibilities
- Provide caring hospitality in the church office for all who come to the building.
- Answer phones, doors, and emails with kindness. Connect people to appropriate staff members.
- Manage building and church schedule.
- Manage communication with ministry groups.
- Perform general clerical duties including document creation, data entry, simple accounting, filing, and light cleaning.
- Manage church database.
- Participate in individual and group communication projects.
Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellence in phone and email etiquette and communication skills.
- Experience and skill with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfort or experience using databases.
- Ability to learn or develop new processes with developing technology independently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
