Administrative Assistant

Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Contract)

Location: Near Compton, CA

Duration: 3–4 months

Pay Rate: $24–$25 per hour

Overview:

LHH is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Student Affairs department within an education‑focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a service-oriented role, enjoys supporting students and staff, and can manage a wide range of administrative tasks with accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Student Affairs team

• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate departmental activities

• Assist with student inquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication

• Prepare, update, and maintain documents, records, and reports

• Support event planning and logistics for student programs and activities

• Process forms, track attendance, and maintain department files

• Assist with onboarding processes for student workers (as applicable)

• Collaborate with internal departments and respond to routine information requests

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous administrative or office support experience required

• Experience within education, student services, or a similar environment preferred

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology

• Ability to work onsite and support a high‑traffic, student‑facing department

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
