Administrative Assistant to the Director of Campus Operations

Reports To: Director of Campus Operations

Position Overview

The Christian School at Castle Hills is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-driven Administrative Assistant to the Director of Campus Operations (DCO). This role provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of campus operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a heart for serving within a Christ-centered school environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Affirm and support the mission of the school, including agreement with the Castle Hills Statement of Faith and Foundations Guidelines
  • Manage incoming emails and phone calls; take messages and direct inquiries appropriately
  • Schedule meetings, events, and maintain school operations calendars
  • Prepare reports, memos, correspondence, and other documents
  • Facilitate communication between staff regarding events and facility requests
  • Assist with planning and coordinating school events and activities
  • Maintain the DCO’s schedule, appointments, and meeting logistics
  • Coordinate meetings with maintenance staff and other key personnel
  • Support campus safety and security operations, including keycard access and camera systems
  • Maintain school vehicle records and manage staff vehicle usage requests

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new technology systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable standards
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to communicate clearly, including speaking and listening on the telephone

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
