This position plays an important role behind the scenes and at events by coordinating materials, supporting parent education programs, organizing family engagement activities, and ensuring events run smoothly. Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities.

Wage-
$22.00-23.00 per hour

Job Description-

  • Coordinate administrative support for parent education programs, including scheduling, registrations, and participant communication.
  • Enter and maintain participant records, spreadsheets, and program documentation accurately and confidentially.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain materials and kits for Family Fun Nights and Poverty Escape Room events.
  • Assist with event setup, facilitation, participant support, and teardown activities.
  • Monitor event materials and inventory, restocking and reporting supply needs as necessary.
  • Develop and manage online registrations and provide registration assistance to participants.
  • Assist with marketing efforts and preparation of program and event materials.
  • Process invoices and maintain records to support program operations.
  • Provide professional customer service by responding to visitors, calls, and correspondence.
  • Support positive relationships with staff, participants, and community partners while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize various computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft, Google, and Adobe Pro
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications-

  • Three (3) years experience in administrative support, event coordination, customer service, education, or program support preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Pro, and data entry systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently while supporting a team environment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
