We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Administrative Assistant to work with us in our funeral home. Responsibilities
- Manage front desk duties, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately with professionalism and warmth
- Operate multi-line phone systems, handle incoming calls, and relay messages accurately and promptly
- Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring easy retrieval of documents
- Perform data entry tasks using tools like Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries via phone, email, or in person with courtesy and efficiency
- Support office management tasks such as calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Assist with clerical duties including proofreading documents, preparing reports, and managing correspondence
Requirements
- Proven experience in an office environment or as an administrative assistant with strong clerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace applications, and basic computer literacy
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- Strong phone etiquette skills; experience handling multi-line phone systems preferred
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to support diverse client and team interactions
- Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist or personal assistant is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated attention to detail through proofreading and data entry accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism
- Must be comfortable working with grieving and emotional people.
