This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Coastal Empire Mental Health Center (CEMHC), Beaufort Clinic, 1050 Ribaut Rd, Beaufort, SC 29902
As the Front Desk Support Staff, working under direct supervision of the Area Coordinator, you will perform receptionist and other administrative duties in support of staff in the assigned clinic of the Coastal Empire Mental Health Center.

Provide centralized scheduling for service providers in the Beaufort Clinic including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, clinicians, and other service staff including all community supports and Administration as needed/ directed; including, make reminder calls and cancellation/rescheduling calls as directed/appropriate.

Complete/Process patient intakes. Answer phones and directs calls. Collect and distribute mail, faxes and all correspondence. Create and mail client correspondence as requested/directed. Maintain office equipment and office inventory. Provide general clerical tasks in support of clinical work (correspondence, scheduling/rescheduling, reports, etc. as appropriate/directed). Manage and ensure required annual EHR record information is recorded and electronic signatures are captured.

Manage annual client financial reviews, batches and routes all accounts receivables, update daily cash log, update CIS, complete all ticket corrections including charges and paybacks, maintain and post financial data to ledgers, collect payments, and complete deposit transactions daily. Address account balances with patients and encourage patients to make payments on account. Update client’s payment information including any insurance information at each visit as appropriate/needed and at the official annual requirement.

Communicate with telehealth staff. Coordinate service between patient and service staff. Gather required patient information required for service and relays information to providing staff. Provide support to off-site telehealth staff.

Provide support to the Mobile Crisis/Access Team, and wrap-around services including IPS, Peer Support, Art of Recovery, Housing, Highway to Hope and the Executive Team.

Cross train in all support staff duties and performs duties of all administrative specialist positions in absence of other support staff related to lunch schedules and any type of leave. Staff must cover at least 1 evening of night clinic per month. Must provide coverage of extended hours on rotating schedule with co-staff.

Provide oversight and management of physical office space and lobby area in addition to CAF waiting and monitoring of telepsych rooms. Monitor and assure required signage is posted professionally/appropriately.

Be able to complete Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) certification
Have knowledge of office management policies, practices and procedures
Have working knowledge of the care and operation of standard office equipment & machines
Be able to work independently and maintain filing systems collect, compile and assemble information
Be able to maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public
