POSITION PURPOSE: Provides comprehensive administrative support to the human resources department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Human Resources General Assistance (~50% - 60%)- Receive and direct telephone calls, correspondence, deliveries, and visitors, and respond or refer appropriately.
- Prepare, type, fax, copy, mail, and file materials such as correspondence, reports, and bulletins as needed for the human resources department.
- Assist in preparation and dissemination of materials and in the use of office equipment.
- Primarily responsible for providing backup to the front lobby as well as assistance to other clerical areas.
- Maintain knowledge and comply with all policies and regulations pertinent to the district, school and/or department.
- Assist in processing forms for personnel transactions including E-Verify, required documents, emergency contacts, tuberculosis test, etc. as needed.
- Responsible for scanning existing employee files into new electronic filing system and maintaining employee personnel records.
- Upload workers' compensation and unemployment documentation into Frontline.
- Provides direct support to the directors of the human resources department in the administrative operations and goals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data and adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines.
Athletic Administrative Assistance (~20% - 25%)- Inspect athletic packets and assist in determining eligibility of home school, private, and charter school student applications
- Confirm initial meetings with parents and students by the high schools that are required to complete counseling/treatment for a positive drug test
- Monitor completion of required NFHSLearn.com required certifications for coaches and athletic directors
- Maintain documentation of positive drug tests and other related data
Risk Management Assistance (~20% - 25%)- Electronically filing workers’ compensation paperwork and updating the OSHA log
- Uploading workers’ compensation paperwork into Frontline
- Uploading unemployment paperwork into Frontline
- Back up for Raptor* (*or other visitor/volunteer management programs)
- Initial screening of volunteer background checks in Raptor

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Chief Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college preferred.
- High school diploma and one-year relevant office experience; or general education degree (GED) and three years relevant office experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to use the Internet for research applications. Minimum of 60 wpm. Database management skills are desirable. Must possess working knowledge of common office equipment, such as fax, copier, calculator, etc.
