Administrative Assistant (Growth to Office Manager)

Custom Crafted Homes is a growing custom home builder and remodeling company on Cape Cod, specializing in high-quality renovations, additions, and custom homes while providing an exceptional experience for our clients. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and personable Administrative Assistant who is eager to grow with our company and develop into an Office Manager role over time.

Position overview

This is not just a desk job. We are looking for a self-starter who is multi-talented, detail-oriented, and excited to learn new skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running while also being open to learning new systems, technology, and processes as our company continues to expand.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer phones and serve as a professional, friendly first point of contact for clients and partners
  • Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and day-to-day office coordination
  • Organize project files, documents, and digital records to keep jobs running smoothly
  • Assist with CRM and other office software systems (training provided)
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients as needed
  • Support estimating, invoicing, and general office administration
  • Help improve office organization, workflows, and efficiency
  • Provide general administrative support to ownership and project teams in a growing construction company

What we’re looking for

  • Strong communication and people skills (phone, email, in-person)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfortable working with technology and learning new software
  • Professional appearance and communication style
  • Ability to problem solve and think independently
  • Interest in growing into a larger leadership / Office Manager role over time
  • AI/automation experience is not required, but you must be open to learning and adapting as new technology becomes part of the construction industry and office environment

Preferred qualifications

  • Administrative or office experience preferred
  • Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with QuickBooks, CRM, or similar project/accounting software is a plus
  • Strong computer skills (email, calendars, spreadsheets, cloud file systems) and clear written communication
