Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is essential to the success of the Public Health Preparedness Program. The incumbent provides administrative, clerical, logistical, warehouse, and inventory support to the CRI team and PHP staff during daily operations, training, exercises, and emergency response activities. The incumbent serves as the PHP Logistics Lead and Safety Liaison and reports directly to the Cities Readiness Initiative Supervisor.
Responsible for purchasing and logistics support. Serves as a liaison with internal and external partners to secure required services, supplies, and equipment for the CRI initiative and PHP program. Negotiates with vendors to obtain competitive quotations, follows program purchasing procedures, and assists with the development, coordination, and deployment of logistical processes.
Uses MFMP to initiate and process purchase orders. Receives goods, supplies, and equipment upon delivery; verifies quantities and condition of items received; documents receipt of goods; and coordinates with the purchasing office as needed. Maintains accurate inventory levels by analyzing demand, tracking usage, and forecasting future program and emergency response needs. Supports staff with basic supplies and equipment. Manages inspection, packaging, shipping, handling, and staging supplies and equipment for incident deployment and daily operations.
Maintains internal inventory, warehouse supplies, and PHP assets, including accurate inventory lists, asset tracking, storage organization, and readiness of equipment for deployment. Updates and maintains information in the State of Florida’s Royal Four inventory system. Performs warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, labeling, organizing, rotating, and staging supplies. Operates warehouse equipment, including forklift operation when properly trained and authorized, in accordance with safety requirements and agency procedures.
Responsible for inventory and accountability of program equipment and equipment issued to staff. Tracks assigned equipment, conducts periodic checks, documents transfer or returns, and ensures items remain operational and available for program use.
Responsible for county vehicle maintenance/service checks, coordination of required vehicle service, and monthly mileage submission.
Participates in disasters, activations, trainings, exercises, and other emergency-related events as assigned including coverage at ESF8 desk at the EOC when activated at Level I.
Perform other related duties as needed.

Minimum -
Valid driver's license, able to lift up to 50 pounds, incumbent in this position is required to be a certified forklift operator within three (3) months of being hired.
