This is a dual role working as an Administrative Assistant at the front desk of our corporate Home Office and as a Benefit Specialist on our Human Resources team. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills and demonstrate your compassion, positively influencing the lives of our residents and team members. This position will require in-person presence at the Care Initiatives corporate Home Office located in West Des Moines, Iowa.

What you'd do as an Administrative Assistant/Benefit Specialist at Care Initiatives:
  • Manages front desk responsibilities, such as answering the phone, email, and mail, ordering office supplies, managing the conference rooms and issuing name badges and access cards.
  • Maintains the intranet, directories, organizational chart and other documents.
  • Responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with managing the HR responsibilities for the home office team members.
  • Responsible for assisting the Director of Compensation and Benefits with the day-to-day management of benefits for all team members.
  • Assists with monitoring access, answering questions, following up on issues, auditing, etc., on HR programs.
  • Perform general office duties for the leadership team.
What it takes to become an Administrative Assistant/Benefit Specialist with Care Initiatives:
  • Associate degree in office administration, human resources or related field preferred.
  • 3 - 5+ years of executive-level administrative, office management or human resources experience.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Visio, Outlook, Adobe and Webex.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
