Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, providing information, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience. You will be responsible for managing phone calls, emails, and other customer interactions while maintaining an in-depth knowledge of our products and services, including bricks, blocks, stones, and other construction materials. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Communication:
- Handle inbound customer calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, order status, and delivery updates.
- Provide accurate information about products, pricing, and availability.
- Order Management:
- Process customer orders and ensure they are accurately entered into the system.
- Collaborate with the sales, dispatch, and logistics teams to confirm order details and delivery schedules.
- Handle any changes, cancellations, or special requests from customers in a timely manner.
- Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues, ensuring a satisfactory resolution.
- Escalate complex problems to supervisors or other departments as needed.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their concerns have been addressed and they are satisfied.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries.
- Provide reports on common customer issues and feedback to help improve services and products.
- Update customer profiles and contact information as needed.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay up to date with the latest product offerings, industry trends, and company policies.
- Educate customers on the best products and services to meet their needs.
- Assist customers with navigating our website or catalog and finding the right materials for their projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a customer service role (construction or logistics industry experience is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with customer service software, phone systems, and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, building materials, or related industries.
- Familiarity with order processing and dispatch systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
