Educational and Experience Requirement

Associates Degree in related field. Two years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs administrative assistant duties for the School of Nursing (SON).

Primary Responsibilities

Performs administrative assistant duties. Front-facing representative of the school and will provide reception services and managing daily interactions (in-person, email, and phone) with visitors. Assists by answering questions and providing information to support the work of faculty, Process Support Coordinator, Lead Operations Coordinator and Assistant Directors. Maintain supplies for office, faculty/staff breakroom and student breakrooms. Help organize SON Governance meetings by securing space and ordering food. Assist with scheduling meeting rooms for faculty and staff. Keep SON calendar up to date. Process all work order requests for faculty and staff. Order business cards and name badges for new faculty and staff. Order new and repeating student badges.

Other Specifications

Requires general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.

This position will be housed in The Woodlands Center located in The Woodlands, Texas.
