Job Description:

Pennington Biomedical Research Center
, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, Administrative Coordinator 4 in Clinical Science.

This is a classified position, and rules of the position are governed by State Civil Service.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
Knowledge of medical insurance processes, including verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.

Job Duties
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out and front desk operations.
  • Schedule appointments and handle calls, emails, and referrals.
  • Collect and verify patient information, insurance, and payments.
  • Support providers and coordinate communication with patients.
  • Maintain schedules, reports, and tracking (no-shows, referrals, data).
  • Provide administrative support, including meetings and provider assistance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position-Specific Details
Appointment Type: PROBATION or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
Career Progression: This position does participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The approved hiring range is $15.76-$24.20.
