JOB SUMMARY:


Provides administrative support for the Assistant Dean for Professional Development, Health & Well-being by overseeing and managing the administrative processes, logistical operations, and committees that support the success of professional development and health & well-being programs and services. Coordinates people, facilities, inventory, and supplies. Serves as a contributing member of the Graduate School, meeting regularly with the position's supervisor, attending staff meetings, and developing and supporting internal collaborations. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:


40% - Essential - Administrative Support:
Provides day-to-day administrative support for the director and Assistant Dean for Professional Development, Health & Well-being, and the Center for Transformational Mentoring and calendar support for the Associate Dean for Academic And Student Affairs. Manages calendars and correspondence, schedules appointments and meetings, prepares documents for meetings, makes travel arrangements and processes reimbursements for the assistant dean & director, takes notes and minutes in meetings, and answers and directs phone calls to appropriate team members. Assists with communications for the professional development team and serves as a point of contact for various staff and external stakeholders collaborating with the team. Serves as backup for the main office receptionist's duties. Performs general bookkeeping duties, including preparing the Budget Status Reports; GSG Travel grant reimbursements, purchase requisitions, purchase vouchers, and inter-departmental orders. Makes purchases through Buyways.

35% - Essential - Logistics Management:
Coordinates the logistical planning of professional development, health & well-being activities and programs as directed by the Assistant Dean for Professional Development, Health & Well-being, and the Center for Transformational Mentoring. This includes as an example: negotiating, reserving and securing contracts, venues and parking; managing the GRAD 360° and A2i email and calendar accounts; disseminating reminder emails regarding registration, managing attendance spreadsheets, and badge tracking for CTM; editing the GRAD 360° website, coordinating details for catering, supplies and equipment, managing the utilization of the Graduate School golf cart. Works collaboratively with the professional development director to support the development and execution of programming. Reviews workflow and operating procedures to help the assistant dean determine priorities and manage team workload.

20% - Essential - Committee Support:
Provides administrative and logistical support to committees essential to the success of professional development, health & well-being, and the Graduate School. Supports the 3MT Bootcamp Experience committee, the GRADS Prep Committee, and the Graduate Curriculum Committee. Attends meetings and prepares supporting materials. Compiles, organizes and disseminates meeting minutes and follow-up information. Maintains committee hard copy and electronic records.

5% - Essential - Professional Development:
Engage in training and professional development, including trainings offered by Human Resources, academic and co-curricular courses, online trainings/webinars, modules, conferences, certificates, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education - High School or equivalent and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Work Experience: 3+ years

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION


Expected Salary Range: $ 39,300.00 - $ 52,500.00


Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.


ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL


Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
