The Office of Academic Assistance at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Administrative Coordinator (Temp).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The Administrative Coordinator (Temp) will provide front desk support to the Office of Academic Assistance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Greet and welcome visitors, students, faculty, and staff; help them with directions, check-in, or refer them to appropriate staff.
Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; manage the office’s front desk email account and general correspondence.
Manage the appointment system (e.g., scheduling, cancellations, follow-ups) for academic advisors, including in-person and virtual appointments.
Monitor walk-in traffic; assist students who come without appointments with basic inquiries or route them as needed.
Ensure that student check-in process is smooth for advisement appointments; verify student information and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain front desk area: keep it clean, organized, stocked with necessary materials (forms, brochures, supplies).
Process incoming and outgoing mail/package deliveries; distribute internal mail; handle document scanning, copying, filing.
Provide students with information about university policies, deadlines, and resources (e.g., registration, graduation, financial aid, tutoring, etc.).
Coordinate meeting room reservations and space scheduling for academic workshops, advising sessions, or special events.
Help with the preparation of reports, brochures, presentations or materials for the OAA.
Order and manage office supplies; maintain inventory.
Perform miscellaneous administrative and clerical tasks as needed (data entry, updating databases, maintaining logs).
Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing administrative or front desk role (preferably in higher education).
Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort with learning appointment scheduling / student information systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with a diverse student population.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize.
