This position is classified as Non-Exempt or Full-Time position, and reports to the Director of Design

Position Overview:

Renaissance Homes is a leader in the industry and a trusted custom home builder dedicated to designing and building exceptional homes. This position provides direct support and services the Director of Design and the Design Studio Manager as well as assisting with the scheduling of meetings and operations of the Design Studio. Expectations to assist with client and vendor communication, documentation and upkeep of all home and buyer material and finish selections, creating change orders, correspondence, spreadsheets, special projects, maintains filing system, provides general office support and helps with Design Studio events and upkeep.

Essential Job Functions + Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities.

· Accurately input all client selections in the Mark’s System data base for processing and after a thorough review, distribute all updates/selections to all necessary departments involved.

· Set up and maintain sample libraries and necessary literature in Design Studio, stock refreshments, and confirm scheduled upkeep has been complete and Studio is presentation ready.

· Assist in meetings with custom home or pre-sale buyers in the Design Studio or Sales Center to accurately record, photograph, and document all material and finish options selected.

· Assist in submitting to Purchasing Dept. any specialty features requested by buyers.

· Assist by gathering pre-selected finishes to display for potential spec home buyers in the Sales Center to review materials and finishes for pre-purchase approval. Record, communicate and execute changes as required.

· Assist in creating detailed tile drawings, elevations and specifications for custom buyers and Renaissance Spec home finishes, materials and fixtures.

· Schedule in buyers or potential homeowners for all meetings or material re-selections as necessary. Record and implement required changes and communicate all updated options to the proper team members in execution of that change.

· Coordinate and communicate change requests from the buyers with construction team and other trade professionals and ensure that the designs have been implemented accurately.

· Support the Design Studio Manager in maintaining accurate finish selections for all Design Studio displays, continually keeping room prepared for buyer previews and company events.

· Provide assistance to the staging crew as requested for show homes and or spec houses that are preparing to be sold.

· Provide support as necessary tasks for a Design Studio or Sales Open House or an occasional weekend trade show/promotional event. Example: catering errands, and/or create and supply promotional event materials.

· Communicate and schedule all Design Studio client appointments on Zoom or in person, and follow up to confirm prior to arrival.

· Create and/or maintain appliance manuals and keep Universal Standards Book, Zoom Book and Special Features Book updated with current pricing and relevant images.

· Assist Design Dept. in documenting all policies and procedures, including communication with Renaissance superintendents and in house sales agents as needed.

· Run errands and general administrative duties requested by Design Dept. or others as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Profile:

The individual in this position is expected to possess the following professional traits.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in a related administrative role or showroom/studio related experience.

· Superior attention to detail, organization and project management skills

· Understanding of color trends, finish material application

· Knowledge of interior design and understanding of floorplans.

· Must work effectively and build positive rapport with clients, team members and other professionals.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Must be a self-starter who works well under time and deadline pressures

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft suite.

· Must be dependable and prompt.

Physical and Sensory Capability Requirements:

The following capabilities are required in order to perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden on the company are available to address the following requirements.

· May occasionally lift, carry, stoop, bend, etc (no more than 20 lbs)

· Position may require extensive time sitting, standing, viewing computer screens and navigating a construction site.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
