Administrative Law Attorney

Hendershot Cowart P.C. is seeking a skilled Administrative Law Attorney with a strong background in healthcare and regulatory law to support our legal team in managing complex administrative matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative law with a particular focus on healthcare-related proceedings and extensive experience representing clients before Texas state agencies, federal agencies and contractors.

Position responsibilities include:

· Represent clients in administrative hearings and enforcement actions before the Texas Medical Board, Texas Board of Nursing and Texas Department of Insurance

· Defend against recoupment actions initiated by Novitas, Qlarant and CMS

· Provide strategic counsel on healthcare regulations and administrative procedures.

Qualifications:

· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

· Licensed to practice law in Texas.

· Minimum of 5 years of administrative law experience, preferably in healthcare.

· Former experience with the U.S. Department of Justice is highly desirable.

· Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism.

· Deep understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement systems.

· Experience with audits, investigations, and compliance matters.

· Ability to manage a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
