Precision Electronic Glass (PEG), a family-owned business since 1962, specializes in crafting high-quality custom glass and quartz components for a variety of advanced industries, including medical devices, aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, analytical instrumentation, fiber optics, and scientific research equipment. Many of the components we produce are used in critical applications where tight tolerances, visual quality, and dimensional accuracy are essential.
The Administrative Operations Coordinator functions as a central coordination point for administrative and operational activities, supporting HR processes and internal systems management. This role is responsible for ensuring consistency, organization, and efficiency across day to day operations, while maintaining compliance with ISO standards. By partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors, the position helps drive streamlined processes, supports workforce and systems coordination, and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
This position reports directly to the VP of Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Coordinates general administrative and office operations to support daily business needs
- Answers incoming phone calls and front door, directs inquiries appropriately
- Serves as a central point of contact for internal administrative requests and follows through to resolution
- Maintains and organizes company documents, templates, and shared files to ensure version control and accessibility
- Pulls data from sources such as ERP system and HRIS software and prepares spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
- Prints, organizes, and distributes documentation as needed
- Identifies opportunities to improve administrative and operational processes and supports implementation of improvements
Human Resources Support
- Assists with hiring process: recruiting, applicant tracking, scheduling interviews
- Assists with onboarding logistics: workspace setup, system access coordination, and new hire materials
- Assists with employee training: scheduling, documentation, and executing training topics
- Maintains employee records and documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements
- Supports administration of HR programs and initiatives, including engagement efforts and internal communications
- Assists in maintaining confidentiality of employee information and sensitive HR data
IT & Systems Support
- Provides basic internal IT support such as password resets
- Assists employees with resolving basic computer and system issues
- Communicates and coordinates with external IT providers
Other
- Manages Safety Committee
- Manages employee’s association
- Maintains a neat and safe work environment
- Other duties as directed and assigned by manager or other department leads

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative, office support, or operations support role required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Experience with manufacturing software (Visual Manufacturing or similar ERP/MRP system) preferred
- Experience supporting basic IT functions (password resets, troubleshooting, working with third-party IT providers) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, data organization), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required
- Experience preparing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for management
- Experience working within ISO 9001 or other quality systems preferred
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will regularly sit, use a computer, and communicate with others. The role also requires occasional standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
The employee must be able to use hands for fine motor tasks such as typing and handling documents. Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 25 pounds may be required. The work environment includes both office settings and exposure to operational areas of the facility.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Flex scheduling is available upon request but must fit the needs of the company.
Travel
The employee may need to travel locally for training, vendor visits, or to pick up and deliver materials. Reliable transportation and the ability to use a personal vehicle for local travel are required.

In-Person Interview
If selected to move forward, you’ll be invited onsite to:
- Tour portions of our facility (when applicable)
- Meet team members
- You will be introduced to the position and may be asked to process or review certain sample parts to give you a realistic idea of the job and the type of work performed at PEG. Please note: This is not production work and you will not be performing billable or customer work. The purpose is simply to give you hands-on exposure to the type of tasks involved and to help both you and PEG determine if the role is a good fit.
You will also complete a short aptitude assessment that includes:
- Reading comprehension
- Basic math (addition and subtraction)
- Knowledge of MS Word & Excel
