Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Kansas City Parole Office and enter warrants into NCIC for all of parole. This person will be responsible for maintaining office and janitorial supplies, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and entering requisitions in SMART. In addition, they will be responsible for entering warrants into NCIC in a timely manner for parole.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Reception/Front Desk: Oversee the reception function for the Kansas City Parole Office by receiving telephone calls, greeting visitors, looking up information in ATHENA, monitor lobby activity; handle all incoming and incoming mail prepare offender urine samples for pick-up, and receive and distribute deliveries.
Warrant Entry: Enter warrants into NCIC.
Purchasing/Inventory: Order and maintain adequate, janitorial, and office supplies for the Kansas City Parole Office. Prepare vehicle logs monthly for accuracy and submit them to Central Office. Coordinate vehicle repairs. Enters all requisitions in SMART.
Other duties as assigned.
Licensing & Certification: Must obtain and maintain NCIC certification with the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years experience in general office, clerical or administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in criminal justice, the social sciences, or the behavioral sciences.
Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
Database familiarity and typing proficiency.
Experience working with high-risk populations.
Experience with NCIC and warrant entry.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must pass a background check and drug screen upon hire.
