This position will be located at the Lewis and Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do
  • Perform administrative support tasks including: answer and direct phone calls; proof, edit and finalize documents; organize and schedule meetings and appointments; route daily mail; scan and file documents; archive projects in the department’s archive system (known as SMART), post office equipment/supplies to MOREuse, process Sunshine Requests, and other duties as assigned.
  • Enter and process financial documents into the State’s Financial Accounting system (SAMII), which includes the following: payment reimbursements (Receiver (RC), Quick Vendor Invoice (VIQ), and Vendor Payment Voucher (P1)); encumbrances; Automatic Clearing House payments; Electronic Funds Transfers; and Cash Receipts
  • Enter and process FAC’s funding applications, which includes the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, Engineering Report Grants, and other funding applications the program provides.
  • Enter construction and operating permit applications into Missouri Clean Water Information System database; prepare permits for public notice; and finalize permits with supporting documentation for mailing.
  • Serve as backup to the Administrative Unit Chief and provide general clerical support for over 30 staff members.

  • Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed.)
