Salary: $45,139.44

Why you will love this position:

We are a small investigative unit within the Division of Workers’ Compensation responsible for investigating workers’ compensation fraud and noncompliance. Our primary office is located in Jefferson City, but we have staff located throughout the state. The Unit’s Administrative Support Professional is an integral part of the Unit’s day-to-day operations. The investigators and their investigations depend on the support role of this position to ensure successful outcomes through efficiency and accuracy. This detail-oriented professional should be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. The Fraud and Noncompliance Unit promotes a positive and supportive work environment for our team members. This position is office-based (not distributed, remote, or hybrid).

  • Directs a variety of support service functions and services; plans, assigns, directs and coordinates activities of an office staff directly or through the manager or supervisors.
  • Maintains files and records; requisitioning, storage, issuance, and/or local procurement of supplies.
  • Operation of multiple phone lines, duplication and mailing.
  • Performs fixed asset management functions, including tracking physical inventory and preparing reports.
  • Performs independent functions using technical expertise and program knowledge.
  • Organizes and implements program activities and confers with management regarding program status and issues.
  • Recognizes staff and manager’s priorities; schedules meetings and coordinates logistical arrangements for Unit, Division and Department efforts.
  • Prepares and communicates policy instructions and ensures procedures are properly implemented.
  • Collects, assembles and summarizes statistical information.
  • Composes and drafts correspondence involving the interpretation of agency rules, regulations and program responsibilities.
  • Obtain and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Responds to inquiries from officials, customers, vendors, or the public regarding agency matters.
  • Establish and maintain internal and external communication with agency and agency partners and stakeholders.
  • Researches or prepares complex reports, spreadsheets and/or databases.
  • Exercises independence in decision making based on agency operations, policies and procedures.
  • Receives general supervision from the Unit Manager, who makes assignments based on desired objectives and reviews work for achievement of results.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

All you need for success:

Qualifications

  • 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the principles of office management and business support activities, ensuring a timely, accurate, and efficient flow of work.
  • Experience providing a variety of support functions, and rules and regulations related to those areas.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate support operations to attain work objectives.

· Experience and knowledge of general office equipment and commonly used application software.
