We are looking for an energetic and creative Administrator/ Director to join our team! You will assist in the development and supervision of children. You will be responsible for administering the program in accordance with state, federal and childcare standards and early learning policies and guidelines off Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with DCY and Food program policies and guidelines
Ensure Step-Up to Quality curriculum and maintain Gold Rating
Register, enroll children and manage their curriculum folder in Teaching Startegies
Supervise a staff of 12 teachers
Has to substitute for Preschool teacher if needed.
Supervise implementation of lesson plans for different level of age groups
Coordinate daily lesson plans, playground activities and other education tasks with teachers
Supervise center housekeeping
Supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
Implement creative activities to assist with child development
Create a positive and nurturing environment for children
Manage food program activities
Maintain and update the fire drill inspection records
Collaborate with the director through the hiring, training requirements, termination and disciplinary action process for teachers
Must be knowledgeable of ODJFS childcare licensing rules, as well as having a clear understanding of SUTQ components
Perform annual staff performance evaluations
Manage staff schedule based on ratios and assure the appropriate coverage of operation
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in childcare center administrator position
Strong team leader capabilities
Passionate about working with children
Ability to build rapport with children and their parents
Positive and patient demeanor
Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and manage multiple situation effectively
Maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, Recognition and Prevention of Child Abuse, and Communicable Disease
Education level required: Associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
Must be OCCRRA verified and CPL3 level for SUTQ
