Administrator Home Health and Hospice

Position Summary

The Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of both the Home Health and Hospice programs. This role ensures regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and exceptional patient care while driving growth and maintaining strong community relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of both Home Health and Hospice operations
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) for both programs and all state regulations
  • Oversee clinical and administrative teams, including Directors of Nursing and clinical managers
  • Manage budgeting, financial performance, and operational efficiency
  • Drive census growth and maintain strong referral relationships
  • Monitor and improve quality outcomes (Home Health Value-Based Purchasing, CAHPS, Star Ratings)
  • Maintain survey readiness and lead all audits/accreditation processes
  • Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in Home Health and/or Hospice
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations for both Home Health and Hospice
  • Proven experience managing operations, compliance, and growth
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Current California RN license strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 – $145,000/year (based on experience)
