HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Location: Tallahassee, FL

The Administrator of Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center (TMRC) is responsible for:
  • Reviews existing policies, procedures, and work methods; directs improved procedures and work methods implementations to ensure regulatory readiness and program objectives (e.g., financial, clinical, and patient satisfaction) are achieved.
  • Coordinates and integrates functional phases of total activities (e.g., continuous quality improvement (CQI) functions for long-term care and extended care units).
  • Interprets and transmits governing boards’ policies to medical staff members and other colleagues; ensures compliance with said policies.
  • Meets with department heads to coordinate activities and formulate policies.
  • Liaises between medical staff members and governing bodies in professional care and patient treatment matters.
  • Ensures patient care is of the highest professional level and meets accrediting agencies’ standards.
  • Reports monthly, quarterly, and/or annually to the CHOO/VP (immediate supervisor) regarding quality improvement (QI) and services’ appropriateness (e.g., departments’ financial and budgetary status).
  • Develops, plans, and implements procedures to assess and improve the quality of the facilities’ financial objectives and the organization's care delivery to patients and residents.

  • Office Manager
  • RN/Clinical Education Coordinator
  • Insurance Verification Specialist
  • Indirectly supervises Dietician, Supervisor/Food Services, and Respiratory Therapist RRT [Registered Respiratory Therapist] in TMRC
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field..
Experience:
  • Required: Five (5) years of job-related experience
  • Preferred: More than five (5) years of job-related experience. Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to skilled nursing facility operations. Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills.

Certification/License/Registry:

  • Required: Licensed as a nursing home administrator in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 468 (Miscellaneous Professions and Occupations), Part II (Nursing Home Administration)
