Job Description – Admission CounselorPosition Overview

The Admission Counselor will serve as the first point of contact for prospective students and their families, guiding them through the admissions process. The role involves counseling, application management, and relationship-building to ensure enrollment targets are met while maintaining the institution’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel prospective students (via phone, email, online, or in-person) regarding course offerings, admission requirements, processes, and career outcomes.
  • Manage inquiries and follow up with leads to ensure timely conversions.
  • Guide students through the complete application process, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions in the CRM or admissions database.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to ensure smooth onboarding of students.
  • Represent the institution at educational fairs, exhibitions, and outreach events when required.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment targets as assigned by management.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive student experience at all stages.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Prior experience in admissions, student counseling, or sales will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English required; additional languages a plus).
  • Strong persuasion, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/admissions software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • The ideal candidate needs to be from the Ed Tech Domain
