We are currently looking for Admissions Coordinator full-time. To join our team at Meriden Health and Rehab to join our team.

The primary purpose of the job is to coordinate the intake, review and response to referrals from all sources to facilitate the admission of residents.

This is one of the most critical roles in the facility. This person is the facility’s marketing, public relations, customer service chief as well as processing and overseeing all admissions. This position requires an extremely organized and efficient person who can multitask in a calm and consistent way. Professional behavior is required at all times. Excellent phone etiquette is needed as well as superior communication skills. This person will be interacting daily with their facility Administrator, DNS, Business Office and Social Service personnel as well as meeting and interacting with a variety of people from the community. This person must be able to work independently and have high energy. This person will be the point person between nurse liaisons and hospital discharge planners. Understanding of financials is critical. This person must maintain referral logs, wait lists and receipts in accordance to state and federal guidelines. Must also maintain accurate bed boards, distinguish payer source, complete insurance verification and patient placement.


  • Current experience with long term care admissions a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with professionally with individuals at all levels
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail

Bachelor's Degree is preferred. At least two (2) years experience in a similar position.
