CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g., once a week or more) or intensively (e.g., four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Project Officer will contribute to the implementation of a youth-focused intervention targeting Palestinian adolescents and youth aged 15–21. The intervention responds to the compounded challenges faced by adolescents, including limited access to quality education, psychosocial distress, and restricted livelihood opportunities, all while being underserved within the current humanitarian response.
Up to 200 adolescents and youth (female and male) will benefit from structured programmes focused on empowerment, campaigning, and expressive arts. The intervention aims to mitigate protection risks, such as harmful coping mechanisms, unsafe work, and unsafe migration by creating safe, structured opportunities that enable adolescents to build skills, express themselves, and actively contribute to their communities.
The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of integrated youth development programmes that position adolescents as active agents of change, while strengthening their resilience, skills, and sense of belonging.
The project officer will be responsible of 6 team members who will be together developing the outreach call and selection criteria to identify suitable youth interested and eligible for the program. Then provide them with
1) Capacity building on life skills package aligned with Life Skills For Success Common approach ( 200 A&Y), after that the officer will lead his/her team to offer the A&Y two different tracks
A) Advocacy and Campaigning Programme:
This track aims to equip adolescents with leadership, advocacy, and problem-solving skills through hands-on, youth-led campaigns addressing community issues. The programme supports participants to transition from beneficiaries to active agents of change by strengthening their confidence, identity, and civic engagement.

This track will be managed in a close coordination with SCI-Egypt CO Advocacy and Campaigning manager.
B) Expressive Arts Programme:
This track provides adolescents with opportunities to explore creative expression as a tool for awareness-raising and social change. Participants select from creative modalities such as singing, movement, visual arts, photography, and/or expressive theatre to address topics relevant to their communities.
The programme includes engagement with specialized facilitators to guide the creative process, resulting in youth-led outputs such as performances, exhibitions, or other artistic products that amplify youth voices and perspectives.
This track will be recruiting a consultant to deliver capacity building and assess eligibility for each track and the SCI community facilitators will be mentoring up to 25 A&Y per facilitator during this journey.
Overall, the intervention seeks to foster collaboration among adolescents, community members, and stakeholders, contributing to strengthened community resilience and the development of a network of young advocates capable of driving positive and lasting change.

o Expressive Arts Programme, including the management of external consultants and supervision of community facilitators mentoring youth participants led by the project coordinator.
