$75,000 - $80,000+ - The SPARC Network, a community mental/behavioral health agency, is seeking an Adult Services Director to join our team. The Adult Services Director plays a vital role in overseeing the administrative, clinical, quality, personnel, and business/financial operations in all Adult Service lines within a defined geography. Our teams provide in-home and community-based services to individuals living with serious mental illness. This position focuses on integrated physical and mental health care, medication management, health education, and care coordination to promote client recovery, safety, and independence.
As the Adult Services Director, you will be responsible for:
- Embrace, demonstrate, and uphold the SPARC Values
- Develop and monitor implementation of SPARC programs and services
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of staff
- Ensure all pre-employment requirements are met
- Provide initial onboarding/orientation and training with staff
- Recruit and interview applicants
- Oversee and supervise the Program Supervisors for Adult Services
- Provide supervision to staff and ensure there is documentation of supervision in accordance with the supervision plan.
- Provide 24/7 crisis response to supervisors and their staff
- Increase staff knowledge of population served. Demonstrate this through modeling, on-site observation, coordination, support of staff, and leading weekly staff meetings
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Training around meeting the training needs of the staff
- Assist staff in implementing behavioral service mandates into their work
- Develop staff through the stages of Teamwork Development and Situations Leadership
- Support Program Supervisors with the development of their teams and provide team coverage when supervisors are not available
- Oversee the daily operations of SPARC programs
- Participate in community-based stakeholder meetings, committees, and collaboratives
- Ensure the provision of quality services to consumers through participation in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process
- Display competence and responsiveness to cultural differences present in both consumer and employee populations
- Responsible for participating in budget creation, implementation, and overall budget oversight for Adult Services
- Other responsibilities as assigned
In this position, you must have:
- A Qualified Professional (QP) in Adult Mental Health with a Bachelor’s degree in human services such as Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a Master’s degree in a human services field and/or a Mental Health license
- Strong knowledge and experience working with the adult mental health community in NC
- Understanding of the NC mental health system
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
- This position is a hybrid in-person/remote position based in Charlotte and covering North Carolina’s Central Piedmont Region; a driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
