Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, community-driven librarian to support the Business, Science, and Technology collections and services at the Central Library. This librarian will have responsibilities for offering nonfiction reference, maintaining a portion of the collection, and helping to coordinate virtual services for the library system.
This librarian will lead projects, coordinate virtual services, and provide basic to advanced reference help for library patrons. They may develop community-focused programming. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the sciences and social sciences, and they will have experience working with racially, culturally, and economically diverse communities. They will have experience developing and delivering trainings for both the public and library staff.
This librarian will be part of a team of librarians reporting to the Assistant Managing Librarian for Business Science and Technology in the Central Library Information Services department. This adult services librarian is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming public environment utilizing principles of de-escalation. Experience providing service for people experiencing housing insecurity, living with addiction, or experiencing mental illness is preferred.

Benefits and Salary Information
The full salary range for this position is $44.92 - $54.46 per hour
