Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider is a fully licensed and credentialed Advanced Practice Provider who assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations.


The Structural Heart APP Coordinator plays a central role in the comprehensive management of patients undergoing structural heart interventions, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, and TriClip procedures. Key responsibilities include patient education, pre‑procedure evaluation, diagnostic test coordination, and post‑procedure follow‑up. This role requires advanced clinical judgment, strong communication skills, detail orientation, and the ability to educate patients through complex decision-making with compassion and clarity.


The APP Coordinator supports program development by contributing to process improvement, maintaining evidence‑based protocols, and collaborating with leadership to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Provides direct clinical services for acutely ill patients in assigned specialty area according to established protocols and utilizes evidence-based clinical practice standards.
  • Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
  • Recognizes deviations from normal in the physical assessment; works collaboratively to formulate treatment plans.
  • Implements appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission and discharge care in accordance with written practice protocols.
  • Initiates appropriate actions to facilitate the implementation of therapeutic plans that are consistent with the continuing healthcare needs of patients.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Demonstrates caring practices by providing a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  • Demonstrates awareness of legal issues and patients’ rights.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
  • MSN or DNP degree in nursing or Graduate of a physician assistant program required.

Licensure/Certification
  • APRN license in state of Florida or maintain physician assistant licensure in Florida
  • Maintains current BLS certification

Experience
  • Cardiology experience preferred
