We are looking for a Advanced Glass and Melting Technologies Specialist to take part in the Sisecam Science, Technology and Design Center located in Gebze/Kocaeli;

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research-based fields
• Prior experience in glass, ceramics, metallurgy, or energy industries would be an advantage
• Involvement or strong interest in R&D projects on glass formulation design, melting, energy efficiency, or carbon emission reduction,
• Familiarity with thermodynamic software such as FactSage, ThermoCalc is preferred,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and reporting skills,
• Proficiency in MS Office applications,
• Enthusiastic about conducting experimental work and collaborating within interdisciplinary teams,
• Excellent command of English,
• A team-oriented, attentive, responsible professional with strong communication skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct research and development studies on advanced glass compositions and innovative melting technologies in collaboration with other research teams within Şişecam R&D Center,
• Develop ideas and conduct studies that can enable breakthrough innovation in our existing products, technologies, and sustainability-related initiatives.
• Lead and contribute to projects focused on high-technology and specialty glasses, addressing future needs and enabling breakthrough innovations,
• Investigate and develop next-generation melting technologies to support decarbonization and energy efficiency goals,
• Analyze and report experimental data, draw scientific conclusions, and translate them into actionable insights,
• Build and strengthen collaboration ecosystems with universities, research institutes, and technology partners to foster breakthrough innovation,
• Take an active role in scaling up laboratory research to pilot scale.
