As an Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer, your main role is to act as a bridge between the Engineering and Operations teams. You'll be pivotal in ensuring production flows smoothly by troubleshooting issues and implementing timely solutions. Also, you'll monitor and refine both existing and new methods, employing advanced techniques to bolster overall system efficiency.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate seamless communication between Engineering and Operations.
  • Offer technical support and derive engineering data pertinent to operations.
  • Design, install, and refine equipment ensuring optimal layouts for processes.
  • Employ CAD Software, especially AutoCAD, to draft and revise blueprints.
  • Read blueprints meticulously to guarantee setup accuracy in production.
  • Work with diverse teams to evolve manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot on-site mechanical and electrical issues ensuring continuity.
  • Engage in machine setups, ensuring flawless functionality during production.
  • Enforce GD&T standards for product quality assurance.
  • Conduct PLC troubleshooting to promptly address issues.
  • Integrate PPAP processes to devise and refine production strategies.
  • Contribute insightful recommendations towards product design enhancement.
  • Analyze production and material costs for improved efficiency.
  • Ensure robust documentation of work procedures and standardized methods.
  • Identify training needs and communicate these to management.
  • Collaboratively pursue continuous improvements to manufacturing processes.
  • Commit to all other relevant responsibilities as directed.
  • Practice LEAP/5S methodologies and HSE standards consistently.

TOOLS & SOFTWARE

  • Experience with Plant ERP systems like Plex.
  • Mastery in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D designs.
  • Utilize Minitab for quality management.

PROFICIENCIES

Your expertise includes CNC machining, cold heading, blueprint fluency, and CAD proficiency. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as experienced in ISO/IATF environments, is crucial.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Competence in understanding and interpreting technical documents and reporting effectively to stakeholders is required. You must effortlessly communicate with customers, vendors, and public entities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. A rich background of 2-5 years in CNC machining/cold heading or 8+ years if without a degree.
  • Proficient in CNC setup and programming, endorsing quality control instruments.
  • Engagement in business operations, quoting, relations, and planning.
  • Skilled in negotiation, analysis, organizational, and interpersonal dynamics.
  • Deep PC literacy in a Windows operating environment.
