Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) will support The Performance Lab’s medical team in delivering high-quality patient care across musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, interventional pain services, and personal injury cases. This role works closely with physicians and rehabilitation providers to support patient evaluation,

treatment planning, and ongoing care within TPL’s integrated healthcare and performance

environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing musculoskeletal injuries related to personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, and be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary environment that includes physicians, rehabilitation providers, and performance specialists.

The position plays an important role in managing patient flow, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring continuity of care across providers.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history, physical examinations, and musculoskeletal assessments.

· Evaluate and manage acute musculoskeletal injuries commonly associated with motor vehicle accidents and personal injury cases.

· Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians

· Manage follow-up visits and ongoing patient care to support patient recovery and clinical outcomes.

· Assist physicians with procedures, injections, and interventional pain treatments as appropriate.

· Review and interpret diagnostic studies including imaging and laboratory results

· Coordinate patient care with physical therapists, chiropractors, athletic trainers, and other clinical providers.

· Provide patient education related to injury recovery, rehabilitation, and return to activity.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record, including documentation consistent with personal injury case requirements when applicable.

· Support the overall patient experience by ensuring efficient patient flow and coordination of care within the clinic.

Qualifications

· Licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.

· Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

program.

· National board certification required.

· Experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, pain management, or musculoskeletal medicine preferred.

· Experience treating personal injury (PI) patients, including motor vehicle accident-related injuries, is strongly preferred.

· Familiarity with personal injury documentation requirements, imaging coordination, and multidisciplinary treatment planning preferred.

Key Competencies

· Strong clinical assessment and musculoskeletal examination skills.

· Ability to manage acute and chronic orthopedic and spine-related conditions.

· Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems and healthcare technology platforms (experience with eClinicalWorks preferred).

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, rehabilitation providers, and administrative teams.

· Excellent communication and patient engagement skills.

Work Environment

· Frequent collaboration with physicians, rehabilitation providers, and administrative staff within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

· Fast-paced outpatient medical environment requiring strong organizational and clinical decision-making skills.

· May require occasional evening or weekend hours depending on patient needs or clinic scheduling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
