Sentara Community Care is hiring an APP for our Chestnut locations.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for the provision of health care services to individuals, families, and/or groups who receive their care under the auspices of Sentara. Health care services include conducting health assessments, prescribing/providing treatments/interventions, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management. Health care services are provided under the direction and supervision of assigned primary care physician (collaborative agreement). The Nurse Practitioner is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, and use resources (human and material) appropriately.

Hours
36 patient hours per week, may include evenings and weekends, 4 hours of Admin. (Flexible admin rotation)
Monday-Tuesday 8a-5p
Wednesday-Thursday 8a-6p
Friday 8a-2p
1 Saturday per month rotation- 8a-12p
Education
Master's Level Degree- Nurse Practitioner
Certification/Licensure
One of the following certifications qualifies:
Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State – Nursing License – North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
OR
Registered Nurse (RN) Single State – Nursing License – North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
OR
Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State – Nursing License – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
OR
Registered Nurse (RN) Single State – Nursing License – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
AND
One of the following certifications qualifies:
Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) – Nursing License – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
OR
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Nursing License – North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
BLS (Required)
ACLS (Preferred)
Experience
2-3 years of minimum NP experience required
