Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a full-time, motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Medical Oncology Team in Lancaster, PA. The Medical Oncology team provides patient centered care and oncology treatments for their patients. This role will primarily focus on inpatient management supporting our current oncology physician and APP dyad. Responsibilities include inpatient oncology consultations, coordination of care for hematologic and oncologic conditions, participation in direct admissions for select therapies (including bispecific T-cell engager [BiTE] therapies and other specialized hematologic treatments), collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, as well as completion of peer-to-peer reviews for insurance authorization of imaging and treatment plans. This position will be Monday through Thursday and will include some weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Our providers practice in a single location at Penn Medicine’s Ann B. Our warm, light-filled, modern cancer institute includes 60 infusion chairs, 53 examination rooms, 4 linear accelerators, brachytherapy, Cyber-knife M6, and the da Vinci ® Surgical System. Our new state-of-the-art proton therapy facility opened in Fall 2022, becoming the second site in Pennsylvania to offer the innovative radiation therapy to cancer patients. Our medical oncology practice was among the first community-based cancer programs in the United States to offer CAR-T cell therapy (established in 2022), expanding access to advanced cellular therapies outside of traditional academic medical centers.

Our inpatient oncology service is a collaborative, consult-driven team based at Lancaster General Hospital, a 525-bed, not-for-profit Magnet-designated institution recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in clinical outcomes and patient safety. The service is primarily consultative, supporting patients across the hospital, with a dedicated 26-bed oncology unit while also managing patients off-unit as needed.
