At DogCentric Society, we don’t just walk dogs—we lead high-energy adventure hikes for Austin’s most active pups. We are a professional, system-driven pet care company under new ownership. We are looking for elite handlers who want a stable, professional environment rather than the inconsistency of gig-work. If you are athletic, reliable, and love the outdoors, we want to talk to you.
The Mission: You are responsible for the safety and exercise of a pack of dogs during off-site trail adventures. This is a physically demanding role that requires keen observation and total control of dog behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Hike: Transport and lead groups of dogs on Austin’s trails during the 9 AM – 3 PM window.
- Pack Leadership: Maintain control and pack harmony at all times.
- Safety First: Ensure every dog is hydrated, safe, and accounted for, rain or shine.
- Professional Reporting: Use the Time To Pet app for GPS tracking and high-quality photo updates for our clients.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Reliability: You are a "boots on the ground" professional. The dogs and the team count on you to show up.
- Stamina: You can handle hiking 3–6 miles a day, even in the Austin summer heat.
- Vehicle: You must have a reliable, dog-friendly vehicle (SUV/Van/Truck) with working A/C and a clean driving record.
- Experience: Prior professional dog handling, training, or vet tech experience is a major plus.
