The Adventures in Odyssey Club Producer position exists to create content, manage the platform, engage the fan community, and coordinate various media development teams to ensure that audio, video, print, web, events, activities, news, articles, and games combine into cohesive, engaging club member experiences.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:- Is responsible for development and daily management of AIOC website; working with approved vendors and freelance web content providers when necessary, garnering internal input and sign off.
- Creates, plans, and manages content for the AIOC. This includes writing or editing devotions for each new episode, creating parenting questions, articles, activities, and other Extras.
- Assists the Films team with planning and production of quarterly video features.
- Manages the publishing of content for the audio, video, text, graphics, devotions, etc., for Club episodes.
- Writes monthly promotional column for Clubhouse magazine, working closely with freelance artist(s), the Executive Producer, and internal Art Directors to generate at least 12 episode-based illustrations per year.
- Provides marketing and promotional support to the Marketing team as needed, coordinating efforts via monthly content calendar.
- Oversees maintenance and troubleshooting for the website and mobile app, ensuring that both stay fresh and user-friendly with regular updates.
- Works in tandem with Showrunner and creative team to brainstorm and develop storylines for club dramas. Also monitors Club message boards and correspondence to offer the creative team insights into likes, dislikes and felt needs of the Odyssey fan community.
- Oversees and approves budget decisions related to the AIOC.
- Serves as first line of information for all questions related to the AIOC, both internally and generated from outside the ministry.
- Nurtures relationships with actors, making occasional trips to recording sessions to represent the Club and gather behind-the-scenes content for promotional use or the benefit of AIOC members.
- Acts as a spokesperson for the AIOC as necessary at events, on podcasts, with visiting fans or in media interviews. Available to write promotional copy and reach out to constituents when required.
- Maintains a detailed strategic content calendar many months in advance of releases, while also preserving flexibility to accommodate changes. This includes new content as well as a monthly rotation of existing content.
- Creates thumbnail images, carousel slides, badges, puzzles, and other graphics for use in the Club.
- Serves as the primary internal advocate for the AIOC.
- Monitors global reach and impact of the AIOC.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:- Performs other duties, including but not limited to duties as assigned, some of which may include the development and creation of a variety of copyrightable works (e.g., print, photography, voice work, film, music, visual arts, etc.) for distribution in any and all media and formats (such as television, radio, internet, wireless, DVD, satellite and digital) on a worldwide basis, all of which shall be for the benefit of Focus on the Family

Personal Characteristics:- Professional, detail-oriented, thorough, flexible, creative, articulate, logical, decisive, self-motivated, discerning, diplomatic, sensitive, considerate
Knowledge/Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, English, Communications, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of Focus on the Family’s mission, philosophy, values, and objectives
- Understanding and passion for Adventures in Odyssey brand and its nearly 40-year history

Pay Range: $64,480 to $74,360
