Position Summary:
The Title Officer will assist with a variety of customer service and administrative duties related to title. Will be required to assist on all files, including reviewing title commitments, answering examiner title questions, agent’s title questions, creating standard examination practices and assist in training new and experienced title examiners.
Essential Functions:
- Research and review documents to determine the status of title ownership to real property
- Examine and prepare (type) preliminary title reports, commitments and title updates.
- Review Title Documents to ensure they address the title requirements
- Provide quality service to clients in a positive and professional manner by returning calls and emails promptly with solution oriented thinking
- Working closely with Title Production Team, Title Agents and TX Underwriting assist agents a timely closing transaction.
Qualifications
- Title: 3 to 5 years
- Escrow: 2 years
- Strong customer service/communication and organization skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of a title insurance processes
Education
- College Graduate or equivalent
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
