Job Summary

Due to continued growth and increased aerial fiber construction projects, our Berlin Shop is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Aerial Lineman – Telecommunications to join our team. This position plays a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing aerial fiber and telecommunications infrastructure while ensuring safety, quality, and service reliability for our customers.

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, follow safety procedures, and work well in a team-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair aerial fiber optic and telecommunications lines

• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely

• Perform strand and cable placement

• Read and interpret construction prints and work orders

• Ensure proper use of spotters and follow all safety protocols

• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working order

• Restore services quickly and safely during outages or emergency situations

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and customers

• Follow all company, local, state, and OSHA safety regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Aerial Lineman (preferred)

• Experience in fiber optic or telecommunications construction

• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)

• Knowledge of proper rigging and safety procedures

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions

• Climbing poles and working from bucket trucks

• Physical labor including lifting, pulling, and climbing

• Possible overtime and emergency call-outs as needed
