Aerospace Ground Support Assembly Technician

Whether your strengths are mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration, you’ll help assemble the equipment that keeps the world in motion.

A day in the life

After a safety huddle, you’ll review drawings and travelers, gather your tools, and dive into precision assembly. You’ll keep your station clean and organized, update production logs as you finish each step, and collaborate with teammates to solve problems and keep quality high.

Choose your craft

Mechanical Assembler

  • Fit and assemble sheet metal components with hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches).
  • Conduct pressure checks on valves and related components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings accurately.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe work area and document work on travelers/production logs.
  • Support continuous improvement by following all safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications: Prior mechanical assembly experience preferred; ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools; strong attention to detail; comfortable working independently or with a team; basic computer/tablet skills; 1+ year experience preferred.

Electrical Assembler

  • Assemble and wire electrical components using crimpers, soldering irons, and standard hand tools.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform basic equipment upkeep and operate safely.
  • Record accurate production data and keep your work area tidy.

Qualifications: Experience in electrical assembly or wiring; ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and drawings; quality‑ and efficiency‑focused; able to work in an active environment (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, confined spaces); effective solo or team contributor; 1+ year experience preferred.

Refrigeration Assembler

  • Build refrigeration systems using pipe cutters, pipe benders, and welding/soldering equipment.
  • Perform pressure and leak testing on completed assemblies.
  • Interpret technical drawings and assembly sketches; keep documentation current.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment.

Qualifications: Experience assembling refrigeration or HVAC systems preferred; hands‑on work with copper fittings and soldering; ability to read drawings and use measuring tools; basic computer skills a plus; exceptional attention to detail and workmanship.

Shifts

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
