An Aesthetic Nurse is a licensed healthcare professional who provides non-surgical cosmetic treatments to improve patients’ appearance. They work in dermatology clinics, medical spas, or cosmetic centers, assisting with procedures and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform cosmetic procedures such as injectables (e.g., Botox and dermal fillers), chemical peels, and laser treatments
  • Assess patients’ skin conditions and recommend suitable treatments
  • Prepare patients before procedures and provide post-treatment care instructions
  • Maintain accurate medical records and consent documentation
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and clinical protocols
  • Assist physicians during advanced aesthetic procedures
  • Educate clients on skincare routines and products
  • Monitor and manage minor side effects or complications

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with valid practice license
  • Certification or training in aesthetic procedures (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments)
  • Experience in dermatology, cosmetic, or aesthetic clinic
  • Strong knowledge of skin anatomy and infection control
