We are seeking a skilled and passionate Aesthetician to join our dermatology clinic. The role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Medical Aesthetician’s responsibilities include providing medical spa services ranging from facial massage to resurfacing and anti-wrinkle treatments working under the supervision of the physicians. Other responsibilities include patient education on treatment plans and supporting products. The goal for all services is for the patient to feel pampered and relaxed while you help them improve their skin health.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provides patients with complimentary consultations regarding skincare services.
- Provides patients with instructions and educational materials that relate to their unique skin type and recommends adjustments to their skincare regiment as appropriate.
- Determines patient skin care goals and objectives and recommends products and services that can reasonably facilitate attainment of those goals.
- Seeks advice and supervision of physician as required on treatment protocols and notifies the physician of any patient noncompliance.
- Responsible for the coordination of any correspondence to patients regarding their skin care treatment plan, product usage, or home care instructions.
- Maintains patient medical records detailing all treatment procedures, elective products, medication history, and educational materials received.
- Keeps room stocked and recommends supply orders in a timely manner.
- Assists with laundry.
- Contacts clients with regard to follow-up care and possible questions.
- Monitors and maintains equipment and treatment room to ensure proper functioning and availability
- Attends staff meetings, participates in office events, assists with customer service to support office growth
- Maintains valid aesthetician license in accordance to state regulations
Required Qualifications
- State esthetician license required
- Must have two (2) years’ experience working as an aesthetician and demonstrate a wide-ranging knowledge of skin health, care and treatments
- High school diploma/GED required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to spend a great deal of the day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day.
