About Pawprint Oxygen
Pawprint Oxygen is the leader in pet respiratory health. We provide rescue oxygen therapy for pets in crisis and those managing chronic conditions. We're a small team whose products are used in thousands of homes and animal hospitals across the US, Canada, and Europe.
As we scale, our goal is to build the most trusted network of veterinary professionals and pet advocates in the world. We aren't just looking for influencers; we are looking for partners who believe in our mission to help pets breathe easier.
The Role
We're looking for the architect of Pawprint Oxygen's partner ecosystem. This is a high-impact, proactive role where you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of three programs:
- Our Affiliate Program — your primary focus and roughly 70% of the role. You'll build it from the ground up: program design, platform selection, partner recruitment, and revenue ownership.
- Our Veterinary Contributor Program — a focused network of licensed veterinary professionals who author and medically review content for our Learning Center.
- Our Rescue Partnership Program — a lightweight model supporting 501(c)(3) rescue organizations with product donations in exchange for authentic organic content and storytelling.
You will be the face of the brand to our partners, tasked with building a community of veterinary professionals and "super-user" pet parents. Your success is defined by your ability to bridge the gap between community building and performance marketing. Across all three programs, you will build a scalable "Content Supply Chain" — sourcing partners who can tell authentic stories that educate our audience and provide high-quality assets for our growth engine.
You will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
This is a remote-optional role. You will be expected to travel to our Pittsburgh, PA headquarters once per quarter. If you live near Pittsburgh, you'll be expected to work from our offices.
Who You Are
- An Operational Architect: You live for a well-organized CRM. You don't just "manage" relationships; you build systems to track every outreach, shipment, contract, and deliverable. You believe that if it's not in the dashboard, it didn't happen.
- A Relationship Builder: You’re catching up with high producing partners during the week and filling your top funnel of new prospects on your downtime. Relationships are key when running partnerships and must be maintained and nurtured.
- A Detail-Obsessed Manager: You understand that the "messy middle" of partnerships is where the value is lost. You are meticulous about file naming conventions, content tagging, and ensuring that usage rights are secured before an asset ever touches the ad account.
- A Natural Negotiator: You are comfortable drafting and discussing contracts. You know how to protect the brand's interests regarding content ownership and usage rights while ensuring the partner feels valued and respected.
- Scaling Mindset: You understand that getting the bones of a partnership model is the first step, but hiring around key pillars makes it scale. We're looking for someone who can delegate work effectively to create a robust partner and content program.
Key ResponsibilitiesAffiliate Program — Primary Focus
- Strategic Program Leadership: Own the vision and execution of our affiliate roadmap from launch through scale — program structure, commission model, platform selection, and identifying new channels and untapped creator niches.
- Proactive Partner Sourcing: Lead the "hunt" for high-authority partners. You will identify and recruit veterinary professionals and pet parents to join our mission.
- Lifecycle Partnership Management: Manage the long-term health of our affiliate network. You will be responsible for onboarding, nurturing, and incentivizing our partners to ensure Pawprint Oxygen remains their top recommendation.
- Revenue Ownership: Track, analyze, and report affiliate-attributed revenue and program ROI directly to the CMO.
Veterinary Contributor Program
- Source and onboard licensed veterinary contributors across specialties to author and medically review Learning Center content.
- Manage content briefs, the review and sign-off workflow, contributor compensation, and program records (author pages, agreements, disclosures).
- Maintain contributor relationships and the recurring contributor roster. We would love to utilize this network for different content down the road.
Rescue Partnership Program
- Build and run our 501(c)(3) rescue partnership model: product donations and support in exchange for organic social content and authentic rescue stories.
- Manage rescue relationships, donation fulfillment, and content collection.
- Making sure we're maximizing our donation program for brand value.
Across All Programs
- Creative Performance Briefing: Develop high-performing creative briefs. You'll coach creators on how to produce "performance-first" content that is educational, empathetic, and ad-ready.
- Content & Asset Operations: Oversee the end-to-end content management lifecycle. This includes managing the collection, quality control, and organization of raw 4K assets in a searchable, scalable library.
- Contracting & Compliance: Manage the drafting and execution of partnership agreements. You will ensure all creators are aligned with our brand standards, FTC guidelines, and content usage requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ Years Experience: Specifically in Affiliate Marketing, Influencer Partnerships, or Performance Creative Sourcing — ideally including building an affiliate program from zero in a DTC e-commerce environment.
- Platform Mastery: Technical proficiency with affiliate tech stacks (e.g., UpPromote, Impact, Refersion, or Shopify Collabs) and CRM/Project Management tools (e.g., Notion, Airtable, Monday.com, or HubSpot).
- Digital Asset Management: Proven experience managing creative assets and using tools like Dropbox Replay, Frame.io, or Google Drive for content workflows.
- Direct-Response Knowledge: A deep understanding of creative testing, "hooks," and what makes a video convert in a paid social environment and being able to work with partners for creative direction.
- Contracting Fluency: Experience drafting and negotiating influencer/affiliate contracts, with a specific focus on usage rights and exclusivity clauses.
Great to Have
- Background in the pet, veterinary, or health-adjacent industries.
- General familiarity and use of AI tools like Claude.
- Experience working with credentialed professionals or in expertise-driven content spaces (medical review, E-E-A-T-style editorial programs).
- Experience with nonprofit or cause-based partnerships.
