<Duties>

• Plan and deliver dynamic dance lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring all students are engaged and motivated
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment
• Incorporate elements of theater, movement, and music to enhance students’ artistic expression and coordination
• Monitor student progress, providing encouragement and constructive feedback to support individual growth
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and program coordinators to communicate student achievements
• Maintain organized lesson plans, attendance records, and progress reports in compliance with program standards

<Skills>

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate children and maintain discipline in a lively setting. Please note these classes will take place AFTERSCHOOL in a traditional studio setting with Kinder-3rd grade students.
• Experience working with children in dance education.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Proficiency in teaching dance styles suitable for young learners - must be able to teach one of the following: modern, ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively and compassionately
• Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and team members positively

School Locations and Schedule (subject to change)

1. Oyler- Mondays (preferred) OR Thursdays, 3:30-4:15 + 4:30-5:15p

2. Mt Airy - Fridays (preferred) OR Thursdays, 2:30-3:15p + 3:30-4:15p

3. Roberts - Mondays (preferred) OR Wednesdays, 4:00-4:45p + 5:00-5:45p

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
